In collaboration with HEIG-VD, Prospert is proud to present the Money Fresk, a collaborative educational game inspired by the successful model of Climate Fresk.
The Money Fresk provides a safe space for participants to talk openly about money and break free from the taboo.
By putting the participants in the shoes of an advisor, The Money Fresk helps them reflect on their own experiences.
Collective problem solving favors the emergence of fresh solutions, preparing the participants for the challenges ahead.
Money Fresk is an interactive edutainment experience for 6 to 20 participants, lasting 2 to 4 hours and available both in-person and online.
Participants form small groups to advise a fictional character facing realistic financial scenarios. Each group must debate and agree on the best advice, impacting the character’s journey through three key indicators: short-term finances, long-term stability, and well-being. Balancing these indicators is essential for sustainable financial planning.
At the session’s end, a report projects the character’s 30-year outcome based on the group’s decisions, highlighting the importance of strategic financial choices. Participants gain insights into personal finance and commit to actionable steps for improving their financial situation. A tracking and feedback system assesses the program’s impact.
The experience consists of four phases, each building on the previous to create a comprehensive learning journey.
1
Participants are invited to fill out a quick survey before the game in order to set the baseline.
2
Participants engage in the game experience under the guidance of a facilitator.
They develop a new perspective on their finances and elaborate an action plan to improve their situation.
3
The facilitator invites participants to discuss the importance of effective money management.
4
Participants are prompted to report on their learnings.
The project follows the following phases.
January 2024 - June 2024
Bibliographical research and benchmarking of gamification tools applied to personal finance.

The Money Fresk would have never been real without their support.
The Swiss Innovation Agency Innosuisse sponsored the development of our prototype through an Innocheque.
Under the supervision of professor Mehdi Cherif-Zahar, the laboratory of the Higher School of Engineering and Management HEIG-VD developed the prototype.
